In 2007, an Alzheimer's Ward was set up due to the great need for this type of care. It has been gradually expanded so that there are currently facilities for 23 Alzheimer's patients.

The residents of our Alzheimer's Ward called “Sonland” are stimulated daily with games, such as block and puzzle building, soft toys, and well-known activities, such as knitting and crocheting.

The above two departments are managed alternately by two registered Nurses, so that at least one qualified nurse is on duty daily. They are assisted by competent and dedicated staff nurses, assistant nurses and nursing assistants.

24-hour medical care and supervision are provided in the Frail care and Alzheimer Wards.

Three meals a day, of which varied menus are compiled by Registered Dietitians, are served in two dining rooms, while refreshments are served regularly between meals in the rooms. The Home also has a laundry where residents' clothes are washed on a daily basis.

Other services provided are hairdressing, foot care, blood pressure monitoring and blood sugar testing.

The danger of power outages is averted by a functional generator, which switches on automatically as soon as a power outage occurs.

Daily activities are offered on weekdays, which include co-ordination exercises, Bible study by different denominations, Library and Brain stimulation exercises such as Bingo.
